Ciao, I’m Paola,

I’m a self care cookery teacher and Italian food expert.

I am hugely passionate about helping busy people (you!) introduce balance and self love with feel good food and self care cooking by transforming their cooking mindset – the Italian way.

I’ve made this my life’s work because I have been that person who had to learn the hard way.

A toxic working relationship led to burnout, unwanted stress and mental health issues. Self care did not exist in my life.

I didn’t have the time to cook myself a proper meal which inevitably led to poor eating habits, fueling my already unhealthy situation. And that was even with having a family deli that I could access anytime I wanted.

Then one day, everything changed

My family deli closed. I no longer had access to free food anymore. What happened next, changed my life. My body started to crave Italian food in a big way (and in that predictable way when you’re not allowed something anymore!).

So one night, I decided to learn how to cook a simple spaghetti with tomato sauce. I made a fresh savoury sauce using tinned tomatoes rather than reaching for a ready-made sauce.

My mind was blown. How could something so simple that I had made on my own, bring me so much joy?

I was so happy that evening! So a few days later, I cooked another favourite and I continued to do so…

Overtime, my eating habits massively improved and so did my physical and mental health.

Cooking became my self-care.

It was that time of the day when I could focus on me, not work. It helped me switch off from the daily grind and be present. I was enjoying gorgeous meals that gave me so much pleasure regularly.

Cooking helped me understand how important it was to find balance in life. Essentially, my Italian culture (which had been staring me in the face my whole life!) had started to teach me so much about what life is truly about.

Our happiness and needs should always be our #1 priority

When we have that in check, life becomes more manageable and we get closer to fulfilling our dreams.

That’s why I want to help you avoid the same mistakes I made. I want you to discover comfort and enjoyment with cooking rather than letting it feel like the unwanted chore at the end of a busy day. 

 That’s why I have created the self love cooking club – a space where you make that delicious self care change. I look forward to seeing you in there.
