There are two payment options. You can pay as a rolling monthly membership, or a 3 month membership package.

The 3 month membership is on an automatic renewal. However, you will be given 20 days reminder before payment is made.

If you’re not happy after 30 days of being inside the membership, I will guarantee your money back!

Rolling membership – you can cancel at any time. Your membership will end on the date that you joined.

For example; If you joined on the 14th September. But you decided to cancel on the 2nd January, you membership will end on the 14th January

3 month membership – you have a 30-day guarantee where you will get a full refund if the membership doesn’t meet your expectations. However, after the first 30 days, your membership is non-refundable. 

All live cook-a-longs are hosted virtually on Zoom. On Monday evenings, Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings (GMT,BST).

All live cook along sessions are recorded. Along with recipe cards they are emailed to you the morning after the class and uploaded into the private recipe library to watch back whenever you wish.

Plus, you can also contact me in the community group chat with any questions you may have about the class.

There are three cook alongs a month, all up to 60 minutes. You can come to all three or choose the classes that suit your schedule

However, if you can’t make a cook along you can watch back the live recording.

Members are sent a schedule a 1 month in advance to give you plenty of time to plan into your diaries.

Cook alongs are hosted on Monday 6:45 pm, Wednesday 6:30 pm and Saturday 11 am, (GMT, BST). There is a session once a week (with one week without a class). There are no classes in August and part of December to make time for friends and family. Yet the community will still receive live recordings to watch and cook along in your own time.

The group community hub is using a networking platform called Guild which has very clear and easy interface making it very user-friendly. It has an app making it accessible from your mobile phone or desktop.

All self love cook along recipes have both vegetarian or vegan alternatives. If you’re not sure how to adapt the recipes to your needs, you can ask me directly and I will give you alternatives.

It can always feel a little daunting to meet a new group of people. However, it’s very important to me that everyone feels comfortable and feel part of the community. If you don’t want to actively interact, you’re more than welcome to turn off your video during any live sessions. But I encourage you to join when you’re ready as you will get the most out of the course that way.

The SLCC is open to everyone and those with all different levels of cooking skills. From non-existant to those who have cooked regularly.  This community is all about helping you transform your cooking mindset and find your  love for cooking.

However, as well as learning recipes, you will learn an array of techniques and tips to build your cooking confidence. 


Price is per person, and not household. If two people from one household would like to cook together, they should buy 2 different memberships.

Please do not share digital recipe cards or live cooking sessions with anyone who isn’t part of the SLCC membership.

If you choose the 3 monthly payment plan, you have a legal responsibility to pay the final payment even though you may not attend any live classes. The SLCC club is non-refundable after the first 30 days of the membership.

Ciao, I’m Paola,

I’m a self care cookery teacher and Italian food expert.

I am hugely passionate about helping busy people (you!) introduce balance and self love with feel good food and self care cooking by transforming their cooking mindset – the Italian way.

I’ve made this my life’s work because I have been that person who had to learn the hard way.

A toxic working relationship led to burnout, unwanted stress and mental health issues. Self care did not exist in my life.

I didn’t have the time to cook myself a proper meal which inevitably led to poor eating habits, fueling my already unhealthy situation. And that was even with having a family deli that I could access anytime I wanted.

Then one day, everything changed

My family deli closed. I no longer had access to free food anymore. What happened next, changed my life. My body started to crave Italian food in a big way (and in that predictable way when you’re not allowed something anymore!).

So one night, I decided to learn how to cook a simple spaghetti with tomato sauce. I made a fresh savoury sauce using tinned tomatoes rather than reaching for a ready-made sauce.

My mind was blown. How could something so simple that I had made on my own, bring me so much joy?

I was so happy that evening! So a few days later, I cooked another favourite and I continued to do so…
