Fucina Italian Restaurant London
This week I had dinner on a girls night out at a new restaurant to the Italian food scene, Fucina. Opened at the beginning of October 2016, it’s located in the heart of Marylebone on the corner of Paddington street and Chiltern street with plans of a paneteria (italian bakery) to open next door.
Fucina pride themselves on an organic menu hosting contemporary Italian cooking. There is a focus on freshly hand made pasta which is made on site and wood fired pizzas. I only chose pasta as part of my menu selection but when nosing what other people were eating, I wish I had selected both.
Here are my pics from my recent visit.
Fucina-An organic restaurant
Fazzoletti wild rabbit ragout- (Fazzoletti translates into napkins) Thin sheets of pasta with this tasty ragout was by far my favourite thing to eat that evening. I had a glass of Dolcetto to pair my meal which was suggested by the Sommelier.
Beef milanese
garlic & rosemary potatoes, anchiovies, lemon- Thin slices of beef coated in panfried breadcrumbs served with anchovy fillets and lemon pulp on top. On the side were large sized chips cooked in garlic and rosemary.
